Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan) Enters Martian Orbit

Built at a fraction of Western planetary mission budgets (approx $74 million), Mangalyaan entered Martian orbit on 24 September 2014, transmitting high-resolution images of Mars and its moons Phobos and Deimos for over seven years.
