Chandrayaan-3 Lands on the Lunar South Pole (National Space Day)

ISRO's Vikram lander and Pragyan rover achieved a historic soft landing near the lunar south pole on 23 August 2023, making India the fourth nation to land on the Moon and the very first in the southern polar region. The landing site was named Shiv Shakti Point.
